By-Pass is a pendant created from a continuous one-stroke line.

The width of the line and the spaces between it follow the same dimension throughout the form.
This simple rule creates a geometric structure that appears different from every angle.
Designed in Tokyo, By-Pass explores the relationship between line, form, and space through contemporary jewellery.

Different from Every Angle

The lines appear as though they might intersect, yet they never touch.
From front to back, from side to side, the pendant continuously reveals new shapes and silhouettes.
As light moves across the surfaces, the geometry becomes more apparent, creating a different impression with every view.

One Stroke, One Structure

The entire pendant is built from a single continuous stroke.
Rather than adding elements together, the form grows from one uninterrupted path.
This approach creates a sense of rhythm and continuity while maintaining a precise balance between metal and empty space.

Matte and Mirror Finishes

A delicate matte finish is contrasted with three mirror-polished surfaces, highlighting the geometric structure of the pendant.

Silver and 18K diamond pendant

The By-Pass pendant is available in two sizes: approximately 10 mm and 15 mm per side.
In addition to the 10 mm version, By-Pass 15 offers greater volume and a more substantial presence while maintaining the same geometric proportions.

We made silver and 18k diamond pendants.

Sterling Silver is a platinum-based metal rhodium coating.
The coating prevents the silver from changing color.

Craftsmanship Behind the Form

The apparent simplicity of the design conceals a demanding finishing process.
Each edge is carefully shaped and polished by hand to achieve the sharp, clean lines that define the piece.
